Our Guardian Program: Beginning in 2016
No Guardian Puppies available for 2019
East Tennessee Standard Poodles Guardian Program Philosophy
Beginning in 2016 we will be beginning a Guardian Program to dovetail our breeding program. Guardian dogs are placed under contract only, which must be signed by the Guardian with each page initialed in front of a Notary. Thank you for your interest in our guardian home process. We believe in the win-win philosophy. We think we have a program where you win, your dog wins and we win. Our desire is to continue the successful way our breeding program works without ever needing to kennel raise a dog.

We will post a list and photos of puppies and dogs as they become available as soon as possible. Please just check back with this website. We will place the Dogs/Pups with the family that seems to be the best fit for both canine and humans. For this reason we willneed to collect information about you, your home, and your lifestyle.
Dogs are social animals that adore their families and want to be with them, involved in their daily lives and participating as loved family members. By placing them in a home environment that will be their forever home from the time they are puppies, or by placing as a young adult, we are doing our best to ensure their happiness and best start in life. We will never have to kennel raise a dog by utilizing guardian homes.
Most guardian homes will be either families who could not afford to purchase a quality Standard Poodle, want the experience of raising pups for their family without the lifetime commitment to the pups they produce, want to contribute something to a Standard Poodle breeding program, or simply like the idea of how our programs works and wanted to be a part of it with us. For those who cannnot afford to purchase outright, the guardian home option is fantastic as the family only pays for normal vet care when a dog is placed with them. In essence, you get a top quality Standard Poodle free and all you invest is a little time for bringing the dog to us or arranging to have the dog picked up when we need it for testing or breeding or whelping.
Where can I live and still be in your guardian program?
Guardian families need to live within 2 hours of Knoxville, Tennessee. (If you already have a relationship with us there maybe exceptions considered to this rule)
During March 2016 we will begin placing young adults and a very few puppies in the Guardian Program.. This is an excellent time to get in on this new program as after 2016 there will be fewer dogs and puppies to enter this program..
Until May 1, 2016 there will be NO DEPOSIT required. to participate in this program .Beginning May 1, 2016 any family who qualifies to participate in the Guardian Home Program will be required to make a $200 deposit, which will be returned with the successful breeding of the first litter of puppies..
